The Best Cymbal Sets Under $750

Looking for a cymbal pack under $750? This is an interesting range for cymbal sets as many of the most well-known lines start above this price point and many of the best budget packs are cheaper. So what can you get in this price range? Well, you start to get a lot more complex sounds than in lower ranges, while not quite hitting the refinement of more expensive ones. That said there are some very good cymbals at this price point that can compete with pricier ones.

One thing you won’t find here is any brass. So anything you buy here will have that wider range and tonality of bronze with more character than the budget cymbals in our lists for packs under $500 and under $350. If you can come up with just a little more scratch, we’d encourage you to check out our picks for the best cymbal sets under $1000, though

Here they are, our choices for The Best Cymbal Sets Under $750. Remember, everyone’s style and needs are different, so choose what’s right for you.

Sabian XSR Performance Set

Sabian describes the XSR series as “Crashes are thinner, with quicker responses. Rides provide a tasty balance of stick definition and tonal wash. And hi-hats are crispy and accurate, with boosted clarity and cut.” And they say it’s “Not a budget series, but rather a line designed to fit your cymbal budget.” These cymbals definitely have some punch to them. To our ear, they sound best suited for rock, but have some versatility. A nice set of cymbals in this price range that you could easily mix and match with other lines.

A cool set of cymbals from Zildjian. The unique mix of cymbals here are great for a small kit, a small space, and for a variety of music including jazz and hip hop. You get a pair of Zildjian’s classic New Beat hi-hats, along with a fast crash an 18″ Uptown Ride. None of these project too much, and all have great stick definition with a fast decay on the crash.
